General information
Foreign nationals may apply for admission to the University of Radom in accordance with rules depending on their nationality. To undertake studies, all applicants must hold certificates authorising them to undertake university studies in the country where these certificates were issued.
Admission of foreign nationals to study may take place:
- under the rules applicable to Polish citizens
- under rules other than those applicable to Polish citizens
A foreign national is a person who does not hold Polish citizenship. Candidates who hold Polish citizenship, even if they also hold citizenship of another country (e.g. they have dual citizenship), are not considered foreign nationals under Polish law and must follow the rules applicable to Polish citizens when applying for a place at university. Persons with dual citizenship must declare their citizenship status for the entire duration of their studies.
Foreign nationals may be admitted to first-cycle or second-cycle studies if:
- they hold a visa, residence card or other document entitling them to reside in the territory of the Republic of Poland;
- they are in good health, as evidenced by a medical certificate stating that there are no contraindications to undertaking studies in the chosen field and form of study;
- WE RECOMMEND: taking out health or accident insurance for the duration of your studies in Poland, or holding a European Health Insurance Card, or registering with the National Health Fund immediately upon commencing your studies;
- demonstrate proficiency in the Polish language, i.e. hold a certificate of proficiency in Polish at a level of at least B2 in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 30 July 2025 on the types of documents certifying proficiency in the language in which studies are conducted (Journal of Laws 2025, item 1045) or completion of a Polish language course lasting at least 9 months.
- Stage I – registration for the course via the Online Candidate Recruitment System (SIRK) at www.sirk.uniwersytetradom.pl. The candidate must tick the box marked ‘I am a foreign national’,
- Stage II – sending copies of the required documents electronically to recruitment@uthrad.pl; on this basis, preliminary admission to the programme is assessed,
- Stage III – submitting a complete set of original required documents before the start of the language course or studies.
