The EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation has announced the launch of the next edition of the prestigious Vulcanus in Japan programme, co-funded by the European Union.
The programme offers 8-month industrial placements in leading Japanese companies for university students in engineering, high-tech, or other scientific fields, who are nationals of an EU Member State or of a country associated with the Single Market Programme (SMP), SME pillar.
Programme duration: August 2026 – March 2027
Eligibility:
- Students enrolled in engineering, technology, or scientific fields,
- Citizens of an EU Member State or a country associated with the Single Market Programme,
- Who are between the 4th official year of studies and the final year of PhD at the time of application.
Please note: Students enrolled in universities offering only a 3-year degree programme are not eligible.
Applications must be submitted online.
Applicants will need to provide several documents from their university, including a certificate of enrolment (in English).
